The 5.2-mile Peavine National Recreation Trail loops around the lake and is popular with hikers, bicyclists and equestrians. First ever visit to old Cottonwood but would love to go again sometime in the future for sure ! This tree is HUGE. Entering from the 10 freeway avoids a long line to get in, though that also puts you farthest from the best parts. You can also see a decent amount of different birds. Once we reached theGiant Forest Museum, we took a 2-mile detour from the Generals Highway towards MORO ROCK. My experience was paramount 3hrs of bliss, Serene Scenery, positive vibes, and a good work out to boot. You can rent kayaks right on the shoreline there Absolutely awesome! 15 minutes off the main route, 71% of way to Grand Canyon National Park. There are restrooms available and spots to sit and relax. Being a member is why I put it at 4 star when originally I was thinking three. Most of the hikes are very clearly marked and dont need special footwear. Yosemite National Park, with its granite cliffs and ancient sequoias, is nearby. Oatman is a small tourist trap with a twist, they have wild donkeys. It is a good hike down the trail to reach the tree from regular parking. Through you are not allowed to swim in the lake, you can do other fun things including fishing, boating, canoeing, rock climbing and more.

The check in staff assigned all our rooms on the same floor super convenient AND the shuttles to the Laughlin Event Center were SUPER convenient. In winter, the accessible parking area on the Generals Highway is available for all since there are far fewer visitors (normally you have to park further away). Its an extremely short hike with incredible 360 degree views. Another picture-perfect nature spot that lies just on the outskirts of the city is the wonderful Watson Lake which is lined by lots of enormous and impressive rock formations. The traffic piled up quickly. Beautiful drive. Of course when I lose, I'm sad when I leave, but i have fun the majority of the time. The oldest tree Methuselah is around 4700 years old. Be prepared for getting your workout in with 350 stairs straight up, however its a short 0.4 mile hike so it won't last long. Souvenirs and beautiful. Beautiful views, fresh air & gigantic trees, we were in awe. Amazing how the climate can change in 3 miles. I cannot recommend this place at all if this is how they choose to do business. The staircase is built into the side of Moro Rock so it is steep and can be dangerous.Distance: .4 mile total out and backTraffic: ModerateCheck out the map here! Otherwise it was $3.50 for entry. The one downside is this was the most crowded area I saw in the park with the exception of Skull Rock, so you will be sharing the trail with hundreds of people. I have never been able to get that close to a bear before. After hearing about the place, we planned to go during our Death Valley trip. Do not feed! Located at a reasonable distance from Laughlin Labyrinths, the venue offers 1505 rooms with beautiful views. If you happen to be in the area, I recommend checking this place out. It's an hour away from the Grand Canyon but located just one block away from Williams' main street which offers several high quality dining and shopping options.

A fabulous way to spend a new years day. It's home to the Route 66 Zipline and Pete's Route 66 Gas Station Museum, featuring highway memorabilia. Sprawling park filled with immense sequoia trees & offering hiking, camping & other activities. This place is an absolute MUST!!!! Entry was free if you have a players card. Restroom facilities were clean. Take advantage of the business center, free WiFi in public areas, and free valet parking. Such a great little park. On your way up to LA, youll want to make several stops my favorite being the eclectic and unique landmark Salvation Mountain, a project started by Leonard Knight. The full hike was at least 7 miles out and back but totally worth it! It's cool to walk on and thru them. Id say the ratio is 1/4 , which 1 out of 4 visits youll be a winner. Much harder to earn perks and upgrade rewards card tiers here vs. other casinos in area (It's a better location, so I guess they don't have to try as hard to win your business) But overall, its a nice place to go when you want something to do. I'd suggest buying about 3 tickets per person (you'll need a ticket per event). Desertscapes on one side and the standing high snowy Sierra mountains on the other. Saw this place on a list of things to do in Palm Springs at my hotel, and decided to go. Its also over a 1/2-mile wide!. When we first arrived at departure point, we were told we would have to take a mini bus but with luggages separated from us in a big bus. The trees are awesome. We did not have a four wheel drive vehicle so we had to take the shuttle up- it added anywhere from 1-2 hours due to waiting in lines. Not only for my group, but other groups in this tour were also complaining and requesting for a refund. Slowly, but surely made it to parking. The lift lines for the Aspen were insanely long yet they were still allowing single riders. Getting back up was no joke, but well worth it for the exploration. The parking lot has bathrooms if you or your littles need a break. What an incredible experience and well worth making the reservation and the long, dirt road. This is a great place to spend a day. You can either view the crater from the parking lot or get up close and personal. The front lady was also very sweet. Take the Big Trees Trail to walk amid these giants (youll find the hush of the forest soothingunless you have restless kids with you!).

I cannot recommend this place at all if this is how they choose to do business. The one downside is this was the most crowded area I saw in the park with the exception of Skull Rock, so you will be sharing the trail with hundreds of people. A fabulous way to spend a new years day. It's home to the Route 66 Zipline and Pete's Route 66 Gas Station Museum, featuring highway memorabilia. Sprawling park filled with immense sequoia trees & offering hiking, camping & other activities. This place is an absolute MUST!!!! Entry was free if you have a players card. Restroom facilities were clean. Take advantage of the business center, free WiFi in public areas, and free valet parking. Such a great little park. On your way up to LA, youll want to make several stops my favorite being the eclectic and unique landmark Salvation Mountain, a project started by Leonard Knight. The full hike was at least 7 miles out and back but totally worth it! It's cool to walk on and thru them. Id say the ratio is 1/4 , which 1 out of 4 visits youll be a winner. Much harder to earn perks and upgrade rewards card tiers here vs. other casinos in area (It's a better location, so I guess they don't have to try as hard to win your business) But overall, its a nice place to go when you want something to do. I'd suggest buying about 3 tickets per person (you'll need a ticket per event). Desertscapes on one side and the standing high snowy Sierra mountains on the other. The lift lines for the Aspen were insanely long yet they were still allowing single riders. Getting back up was no joke, but well worth it for the exploration. The parking lot has bathrooms if you or your littles need a break. What an incredible experience and well worth making the reservation and the long, dirt road. This is a great place to spend a day. You can either view the crater from the parking lot or get up close and personal. The front lady was also very sweet. Take the Big Trees Trail to walk amid these giants (youll find the hush of the forest soothingunless you have restless kids with you!).
