I've stayed at the Caravelle resort for decades. The Marco Polo and St. Clements Beach Bars are open seasonally and have grills with great menu selections. But hopefully we can soon, the room was nice,staff was friendly and helpful,great parking and not very congested. The animals here on our 50-acre wildlife preserve are center stage in this fully interactive, hands-on Wild Encounters Tour, where you can actually cuddle up to tiger cubs, pet wolf pups, share a laugh with our apes, witness adult tigers running at full speed across the lawn, and feed Bubbles, our African elephant. They even worked long distance with one of my friends to decorate our room for our honeymoon ! The only way to leave a review is to first make a booking. We like to check rooms before paying because we have gotten some bad ones and could not get a refund in the past. We couldn't get in the water for two days at all and then when we could get in the water the jellyfish were still stinging and washing up on the beach so you couldn't walk barefoot or let the waves hit your ankles. I've stayed at the Caravelle resort for decades. The Marco Polo and St. Clements Beach Bars are open seasonally and have grills with great menu selections. But hopefully we can soon, the room was nice,staff was friendly and helpful,great parking and not very congested. The animals here on our 50-acre wildlife preserve are center stage in this fully interactive, hands-on Wild Encounters Tour, where you can actually cuddle up to tiger cubs, pet wolf pups, share a laugh with our apes, witness adult tigers running at full speed across the lawn, and feed Bubbles, our African elephant. It was peaceful and fun and was everything a vacation should be. The only reason didn't give it a 5 building under construction which was out of their control of course! We will definitely stay at the Caravelle again. It was a wonderful stay the resort is clean and all staff are friendly an helpful. We were surprised at how many people, children included, were enjoying the outdoor heated swimming pools. It was also our first vacation as a "blended" family. Very nice staff. We still had a really good time and were able to go to the boardwalk and enjoy time there. Good buffet breakfast included with our package. Surely we will return to staying at this hotel. I tried to book this Hotel the last time that I went there but Travelocity screwed that all up. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. They even worked long distance with one of my friends to decorate our room for our honeymoon ! The only way to leave a review is to first make a booking. We like to check rooms before paying because we have gotten some bad ones and could not get a refund in the past. We couldn't get in the water for two days at all and then when we could get in the water the jellyfish were still stinging and washing up on the beach so you couldn't walk barefoot or let the waves hit your ankles. My husband and I loved the hotel! This time we had an oceanfront unit. Love the morning breakfast buffet the food is awesome. The discount card, on the back of the room card, came was great to have and saved us quite a bit of money on food and activities in the area. We rented through a Century 21 office and were quite pleased. You were always prompt if we had any issues. A problem was that the air conditioner was a room AC, not central air, and it was mounted on the floor, so it never adequately cooled the room.
