Im super curious to see how good (or terrible) the S1000 really is. Now, lets just get it out of the way: This is a zoomie. 
This powerful and practical, general purpose flashlight is the perfect gift for a father, husband, wife, scout, or college student for any occasion. So I'm returning to EMS in little more than 2 weeks and got these two sun shine lights. Its been quite a while since I wrote this review but now Id like to add a few important comments. Flood on High (at turn-on): For the beam shots, I tried to capture the differences between a cheap zoomable flashlight (the S1000), a high quality zoomable flashlight (the UT-20 with 5 amp driver and Nichia 319A LED), an okay-quality zoomable flashlight (the Nebo Redline with Cree XR-E Q5 LED), and the really affordable Sofirn SC31T. 
The flashlight is bright and reasonably lightweight. Although its cheap, the S1000 isnt terrible. Shipped quickly even at Christmas time. This isn't the lister's fault, and is probably not happening to most other flashlights of this type. I can attest to durability. All I do is recharge and reuse. How about high Lumen? Overall, the S1000 is pretty maneuverable and handles about like my Acebeam L17, although that light is much heavier.
