Mugler, shame on you for discontinuing this. I Bought this blindly because there were no testers and boy was i wrong , this really didn't work with my chemistry. A very warm, sensual and sexy scent. Believe in your dreams a little more each day with Angel Nova, the new Eau de Toilette. The smell of it lingered on my clothes over 24 hours from when I first applied it just on my wrists. If you like Alien, youll like this. Love love love. My bottles juice definitely is darker than these pictures, but its the right juice just has darkened a bit. It was still everywhere. Fragrancebuy.ca has this today! I accidentally layered it with Lauder Modern Muse Nuit and it is incredible layered with that. The vanilla comes out quite strong on me, but its not overly sweet. 
On my skin, about 6-7 hours, but the longevity was all day! The original Alien is everwhere in stores, but never saw this one. This is such a gorgeous vanilla, amber and floral mix. It gives a warm feeling when you wear it. This to me is amber with a hint of other notes. Both confident, composed, classic, and unapologetically sexy. I am enjoying this a lot. The jasmine is tempered by the gorgeous cashmere woods, amber, and massive dose of vanilla which brings the original Alien composition to another dimension. A beautiful British woman of the Raj is standing on the balcony smoking a cigarette. It arrives, Packaging was great, sealed, sticker, codes, inside packaging looks good, number engraved on bottle, code on top flap allowed me to register with circle. The original will have the full name Thierry Mugler in script writing. If I dont like it I can try and be like those people on eBay who sell it for twice that . I have a 2oz bottle that Im very sad to part with, but need the money. I have smelled the original Alien. She would pass by swiftly and leave a trail that was like a magical spell, I don't remember ever reacting to a fragrance so notably. Must love amber! It is really awesome that in 2018 when most scents are just ruined by IFRA, that we can still buy something that lasts!! Its gorgeous! So lucky I got my hands on this years ago for like $30. Not only for health reasons, also for the fact I only have a little under 2 oz left of the stuff and I don't want to run out. Hi!
Top note is Jasmine; middle notes are Cashmere Wood and Orris Root; base notes are Vanilla Pod, White Amber, Myrrh and Incense. I sprayed my arm with it once, it literally coated my arm with the most amazing vanilla fragrance for hours. Yummy :), This is alien fully realized. Simple as that. Ladies, one spray of this and you have acquired a very sexy superpower. Mind you this is one spray and within 20 minutes. Id really appreciate it.
The bottle design is inspired by the classic Alien bottled style and gold drops used as talismans in the Orient. Any thoughts? ok, this one lasts and lasts and lasts. Love it and I'm so sad that it's probably discontinued, from what I've read so far. This is my ultimate signature fragrance, and it has been for 2 years. I haven't tried any of the previous or later Alien scents, so I'm not sure how this compares. This is vanilla extract and rootbeer. $69 for extrait de parfum, and Mila LeBlanc on YouTube recommended it, as well! Very much like alien but somewhat warmer, creamier and deeper.. Good for winters . Then I smelled dirt and mothballs. A definite Like that might become a love. An exceptional example of when Mugler does flankers right! This actually smells similar to Kilian Back to Black. @drawingmaniac35 - they have it on their US website and in Nordstrom online. I love Alien, so it's not like that is a bad thing, but was a bit dismayed. I like how much of the original Alien DNA is present, and cant wait for the colder days to arrive so that I can take this fragrance out and experience it properly. This is all about the Jasmine wrapped in vanilla,amber,myrrh and incense. Its rich! Sprayed during hot and humid weather within my air conditioned apartment. I haven't tried too many flankers but didn't like the ones I tried either like: Aqua Chic,EDT,Eau Sublime. Phew, strong enough anyway.

Im new here and I apologize if Im in the wrong location to ask this, maybe someone could kindly direct me where to go with this question..I bought an Alien essence absolue 60 ml refill bottle online after many questions etc, seller was very responsive, answered all my questions, Im feeling confident its legit. People seem to love it. It is a very nice, warm scent but I don't like the jasmine note, that makes a little weird note in it. It is one of those "empowering" scents that you can't stop sniffing when you wear it. @Sunny68 I read your question my answer yes the cap is plastic and if you bought a refill perhaps its not the reformulated version so you're good! If youre looking for a dupe, try Scarlet Letter from Juliannas Perfume. I can't believe I am about to say this about what is supposedly an iconic fragrance but to me this is vanilla flavored bug spray! What hasn't been said about Mugler's Alien Essence Absolue. I could see how it could be a little overwhelming if over sprayed. Only a hater of Alien range,can't fall in love with it! To me she is a smooth, rich rootbeer-float-jasmine pudding confection, sweet and opulent, lively and vibrant in her bold but playful attitude. I wanted to love this soooooo bad. On first sniff, I thought that this was EXACTLY the same as Alien. My wife has this, a traffic stopping, compliment getting, beast mode aphrodisiac, gorgeous, absolutely gorgeous perfume. This is a very good Alien flanker! It is strong enough to be noticed, but feels very intimate.

Alien is old friends and Alien Essence Absolue carries the sweetness of discovering the unfamiliar. Its pure jasmine upfront with the coldness of the orris root. (And its becoming more and more difficult to find). Anyone who knows if this will continue to be limited edition please update us because some say it's limited and some say it's discontinued now. As it dries down, the Alien steps up and the resins subside. I am slightly shaking from cold but the scent gives me safety and pleasure. Definitely an evening scent or Fall/Winter. This is my signature scent, of which I have 5 ml left in the bottle, and only half a refill bottle left. Become a member of this online perfume community and you will be able to add your own reviews. Yes, this is definitely Alien, but no, contrary to a previous comment, this is not "just jasmine", it's so much more subtle and complex. I still love my Alien, but this version is much more my speed. I keep trying it every few years to see if my taste has changed. Very sweet - spray lightly! Its one of the best fragrances in my collection. Anyone know where I can find this at a good price? I haven't been on this website since 2018. We have different noses and chemistry, what doesn't work for some work marvelously with others, so if you're on the fence due to the reviews, I recommend you get a sample, it just may end up being one of your favorite fragrances if not your favorite. I seriously question why Essence Absolue would be discontinued, as I have heard it has, since it has such a massive following. Its like drinking a hot buttered rum in a club while someone smokes a cigar nearby. Just sayin'. Us dollars around $72 and $96.!! My boyfriend likes it, and he can be pretty picky sometimes. Thick, dense & gooey honey + vanilla + jasmine wrapped into cashmere. I'm looking for a bottle! Oh man! But I still loved it and my high school boyfriend was always drooling over how I smelled. I find myself craving this scent, and when I am wearing it, I feel like an incredibly sexy goddess. It is sweet and pretty auntie Rose said my 3 year old niece, after she sprayed it on herself. A deeper, sweeter sister to the original pillar Alien, Alien Essence Absolue starts off unusual and somewhat medicinal but the beauty is in the heart and dry down of the fragrance.
I'm awfully glad I didn't. Jasmine, boozy amber, but so smooth with it. The new fragrance is described as richly intense, sensual, deep and mysterious. I did get a syrupy, boozy amber when I could finally smell it, along with some nice spice. It takes hours to get to that smoky, creamy vanilla/amber dry-down. Best memory I have of this perfume is this beginning of autumn. It is sexy. I bought a small dark bottle off eBay a couple years ago and it smelled just like bengay. Honey mentholated throat candies with a big dose of resinous vanilla and that signature Alien jasmine. If you like or love "regular" Alien, but wish the florals/jasmine were toned down with some balsamic vanillayou will LOVE this! It wasn't what I had hoped. Alien essence absolu has reached the level of an iconic perfume and deservedly so. Alien Essence Absolue is available as 30 and 60 ml Eau de Parfum Intense and a refill of 60 ml. Im so saddened by this fragrance. It is a nice feminine creamy scent, but unfortunately too powdery for me. Oh my goodness this one is not for me. I prefer AEA over the original personally. It cracked when I tried to pry it off. I think three sprays would be absolutely the max. It's such a gold fragrance. heavier ,darker sweeter version of the original alien. I haven't smelled any other Alien fragrances yet, but I found this discontinued one unopened for $40 USD, so I snagged it immediately. close, but definitely no cigar. The florals are just a tad too heavy or "heady" as many call it. No amount of vanilla in the world will turn such medicinal notes into something edible. There's also some beautiful sweet woody elements, along with classic spices and incents that keep it earthy and grounded and prevent the scent from teetering to the candy sugary overly gourmand side of the fragrance world. To my nose it has a spicy, boozy cola vibe. It was limited edition but it's possible it is now in discontinuation..It is no longer on the USA Mugler website and others have stated it's being pulled worldwide as we speak off the shelves and sites.
Check out Ted Lapidus Altamir for Men. It doesn't need to be layered. long! I feel completely untouchable in this fragrance. Overall 8.5 of 10 for me. I bought two backup bottles! This wears like a heavy blanket of sweet yummy delight with an edge of sophisticated spice. Why have they discontinued it? A little too sweet for me day to day but perfect for a date night or cold weather. I like this scent a lot. (I get complimented a lot) I love it. Definitely my favorite of the line if not my favorite perfume overall. OMG! I bought this as a blind buy, but it didnt work out so well for me. What a hardcore amber scent in the designer market!! Please do not overspray. 1-2 sprays give me hours and hours of longevity and pretty strong sillage. Perfect for cold weather. Just received a couple of days ago and at first spray, I didn't like it because I thought it smelled medicinal but afterwards, it blossomed into a creamy vanilla white floral. This is buttery and rich. The other flankers dont really do the trick on my skin. I will wear and enjoy both, but I cannot honestly and in good faith recommend the newer version if you have the means to acquire the original. The woman wearing this scent is very well put together and fashionable. Blind bought this based on the glowing reviews. I just found a 60ml bottle and they had one more bottle left . They need to bring this one back. Just got my sample of this in the mail. It would be my go to for casual wear, with more earth toned clothing. Well, This came in the mail today and with ONE spray to my left forearm and then touching my other arm (not rubbing), I almost could not stand being in the same room with myself. I'm pretty new to perfume, and am, therefore I horrible reviewer, but I will say that I didn't get any indolic whiffs unless I put my wrist to my nose and HUFFED it for all I was worth. I don't know what Bengay smells like, but I've never thought of the fragrance as being mentholated. It lasts forever too. This is definitely what I wish Alien perfume was. I'm glad I'm not the only one with this same experience. This fragrance smells similar to a delicious root beer float to me. While original Alien makes me feel like I run the town, Alien Essence Absolue feels like I'm especially attractive because I'm the exotic newcomer in a foreign city. Picture thisnight time in early 20th century India. This perfume combines jasmine, orris root, black vanilla, incense, myrrh, white amber, and cashmere wood in a delicious, warm, and comforting blend. I agree it is the best Alien flanker I've smelled. Haven't tried it in a couple years, so maybe I'll try again. Essence Absolue is a warm skin scent, nothing loud, very much gone within 2hrs, have to put my nose against my skin to smell it. Anyway, had to scour the Internet to tack down some pre reformulated Alien and this Alien Absolute and I lucked out, but had to fork out more money than before, but this is what happens when you fall in love, a bit too late. A beautiful and unique take on vanilla and amber that has a soft and velvety suede leathery undertone structuring the whole fragrance. It's got a little bit of spice and that specific jasmine note that seems unique in Mugler fragrances. Opening is medicinal amber with faint menthol that I can taste in my mouth. Buttery, sweet, booze-y. I overdid it, definitely more than 2 sprays which was so suffocating. I think because I'd tested it in the summer, it was overwhelming to me, but it's grown on me since I've tried it again, especially in the colder weather. Same dough smell, same maceration by a few months' time. It smells so sweet and sexy. I have no words! This perfume is a damn legend, my perfect perfume. This flanker is unmistakably Alien which has been drenched in syrupy, gooey, delicious vanilla. You know, first cold days and rains. I find it strange that this was discontinued when they probably could have made it a huge success, if it was more easily available. Step into a new dimension with this augmented version of the original Alien Goddess. An ordinary sweet frangrance nothing spectacular. Warmer, sweeter, big on vanilla version of the original EDP. It is seductive. Truly speaking, I feel that everyone deserves to know and have this perfume and it should come back into production. Smells expensive and classy but doesn't smell of anything complex or that interesting. This is the best alien. As my bottle's juice gets darker with age I could swear it's getting more delicious.
I like it a lot. This amazingness lasted for days on my skin and developed so nicely. Received tons of compliments while wearing it. I'm so sad its discontinued. This might be too big a horse for this old mare! Unfortunately is discontinued. It's warm and so feminine. If you feel Alien is too strong. Also, the lasting power is a bit weaker than that of the purple mother.However, I tried layering it with Musc Mysterieux and that's when the magic happens. After it dries down completely which is several hours later I do smell a light vanilla but this just does not work for me. I was worried that Alien Essence Absolue would be way too much for me in the initial opening. Love for a sniff! It's warm, rich, and cold all at once. Longevity and sillage - above average, around 5 hours on my skin , on clothes a lot more. Then I compared the juice of this bottle to that of decant I have and the decant seems to be a bit stronger. This very much remains an expensive elegant, mysterious, sweet intoxicating fragrance that you just can't get enough of. She is darker, more down to earth, less ethereal and much warmer. Gosh, I have a bottle of this, and it's probably the older version. Simply irresistible i wanted to nibble at my arm. I love everything about this flanker except the drydown. The power and performance is unparalleled and it smells so damn good . @Anamandy, I'm wearing this today and I personally don't find it candy sweet.
Well I did it! It's sexy, captivating, and alluring, all while smelling of a mix between the original Alien, a root beer float, cream soda, caramelized vanilla, and amber. Im wearing this today for the first time in a while, and it struck me that the jasmine is just ever so slightly dirty. Will be my next purchase without a doubt. Why did I blind buy this then you may askbecause my curiosity got the best of me. I am NOT an alien fan. Not something I would buy, though. Shoot it even smells amazing on my shirt but it does not smell amazing on me. Excellent longevity and a delicious drydown, this is great for cozy times, I love to spray a bit on my pillow. Alien and AEA are different enough that it wont hurt to have both if you love the original Alien. This is my new winter LOVE!
