we had 4 days in Garda last week and covered a good bit of the south end of the lake in one day, part regular ferry and part rapid, would recommend the latter although a but pricier.

My personal favourite town is Sal, but if you want to have a quick ferry ride you could stay in either Garda, Bardolino or Lasize which are even walking distance apart.

The hotel is located in nature, only 800 m from the historical centre of Arco. You could get to the North of the lake by bus or ferry but I dont think it would be a good idea if you are only visiting for the day as the traveling time would take too much out of your day. Credit card are accepted at any ticket office and on board of any motorship of our fleet.

We are staying in Malcesine 2nd to 9th September and are quite keen to go to Limone on the 3rd September for the fireworks.I,ve been trying to make sense of the ferry timetables.
Other car ferries are available from Limone to Malcesine and in the high season also from Riva to Desenzano.
