An unfortunate set of circumstances arose at a local campsite with a wild bear that resulted in the bear needing to be removed from the wild. The people who work here are so friendly and maintenance is continually cleaning! Currently, masks are not required but we ask that you practice social distancing, do not enter if you feel sick and regularly wash your hands. The location is near restaurants, etc (we enjoyed Madison Crossing) and there's so much to do in this tourist town. Otherwise, loved the park and would definitely stay here again in the future. would go again anytime

Great place that we were able to get into since they plowed snow off several add'l spots as the Spring warms up. In the town of West Yellowstone and just 2 blocks south of the parks west entrance and can walk anywhere in town as it is only 4 blocks by 8 blocks. It was cold, with temps below freezing most nights, and enough snow to stick. Grass around your spot and new picnic tables. However, that would have entailed disconnecting from utilities, repacking, and towing the rv early next morning to their parking lot and waiting there the entire day with family and dog with no water or electricity until our tow vehicle was available again that evening. This is not an inexpensive park, but the sites are nice with the picnic table on a concrete slab. The check in lady was rude. We saw everything from small pop up trailers to huge "bus" RV's. Good looking campground but the check-in staff were extremely rude. 
RV Site size. In our RV travels, our family has decided that we appreciate being in parks with cell signals, access to stores and restaurants, and other such conveniences. Bo is the most recent addition of grizzly bears that reside at the Center. I also commented that it would be better to close them mid-day when the demand is not so great, and they also brushed me off. 1. They have codes to get into the shower/restroom and that made me feel safe going at night and early morning. They have a small store with limited RV supplies. Pull thru site was excellent, but the neighboring rigs are a tad close. The park is within walking distance of downtown West Yellowstone. Be sure to bring an extended sewer hose. I will say that you get what you pay for here: Verizon 4G coverage was excellent here. They have a pet area, but it runs behind other peoples campers and leads to a wooded area which I was afraid to walk in with the dog by myself being in bear country. There is a large staging area, but if you are in one of the large pull-through sites and towing a vehicle, then you stay hooked and pull in. Multiple attempts were made to haze him away from the area, unfortunately they were unsuccessful, and Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks staff decided he could not remain in the wild. The Yellowstone Grizzly RV Park and Cabins is the 79th stop for us and we stayed 10 night stayed at the Yellowstone KOA last year and did not like it at all. Told check-in person that I had a reservation and was told in no certain terms that I could not check in until noon.

The campground was busy considering the weather. One thing to note: the WiFi signal isn't strong throughout the park and may only work on laptops, not phones. A young male grizzly bear had gained access to food from unoccupied cabins near Rainbow Point Camp Ground just north of the town of West Yellowstone, Montana. Use your cell phone for a DIRECT CONNECTION TO THE ANIMALS! They have a nice store. For specific inquiries, we recommend calling ahead to confirm. We had a pull through site and we had plenty of room on all sides. He explored the campground and repeatedly found food left unsecured by campersbroke into a cooler, as well as food and garbage from the back of a pickup truck. OTTER ADDITION - Moe, a year-and-a-half old male North American river otter, arrived at the Center from the Woodland Park Zoo in Seattle, WA. I was really impressed with the cleanliness of the restrooms/showers. Story is Our Way Home would stay here again, Everything in the Yellowstone area is expensive, so we just had to bite the bullet and pay for the expensive RV parks in this area. Traveled in a 40 ft class A. We stayed in the older section and our site had mature trees, a patio with table along with a lawn area. Check in was easy with friendly people. I would not stay anywhere else in West Yellowstone. The showers are clean and spacious enough. Everything was Clean, Clean, CLEAN! This park is really nice though and we felt it was worth it. Two weeks later I sent an email saying that I wanted to make a reservation for a week stay at the end of September same dates as the first request and I was told they were full. Once you are in the gates, you have to realize you will be driving far in between the sites, which means Yellowstone Grizzly is more convenient for the west side. Quiet at night. First thing we notice, is the width of the streets to move around the park. Our only complaint (not their fault) was the swarms of giant mosquitos (biggest we've seen) around the park, and even worse in the adjacent national forest. Restrooms were clean, however the auto shut off on the lights was quite annoying, the lights automatically shut off after about 10 minutes (motion sensors). This is just my opinion! Overlanding is a way to see less-explored areas of the world. We were close to the main building and gave up getting on and staying on the internet. We would definitely stay again. This park is really nice though and we felt it was worth it. *well maintained and clean The front desk is top notch professional and made you feel like you were walking into a hotel check in. Very friendly front office. We opted to stay at Yellowstone Grizzly because of its prime location, and the park did not disappoint. They issue WiFi codes for up to two devices. Then there is a fine print "Failure to follow these rules can result in removal from the parK". The only draw backs and why I'm not doing 5 stars is the dryers run super hot and several were out of service during our 5 day stay and they do NOT allow wood fires but I have found this in other parks in the area. I really appreciated the office/store area - very clean, very nice. STAY HERE INSTEAD OF IN THE PARK!! I thought $75.00 was a lot for an RV spot. The town of west Yellowstone is a block or two away-near enough, but not so close to the crowds shopping and eating in town. If you looking for a park to either stay or base at this one fits the bill. The play ground was kind of small for the size of the park. Had to wait til I went to another RV park to get my email. Dog walking areas are huge. View the animals either OUTSIDE or INSIDE and come experience the majesty of grizzly bears, gray wolves, river otters and more. We would like to have stayed longer, but waited too long to make reservations.
You have to pack up all your stuff and leave the RV park by 11am and may not return until 1pm! We were in an older section with mature trees for nice shade.
I wouldn't recommend staying anywhere else if you are visiting the west side of Yellowstone National Park. For our trip to Yellowstone, we decided staying outside of the park was a better choice for our preferences. We stayed in this great, well maintained RV park in a 40 motorhome. The park had bathrooms scattered throughout the park with laundry facilities at each location. We found this park to be among the most professionally operated parks we have stayed at.

Can you use a portable propane fire pit here? They have grass at all the sights that are also big and level. Stayed here for 2 nights & enjoyed our experience. Check in was easy, all staff were nice and customer-oriented and the wide paved streets made it easy to navigate to our site. He can be seen foraging for food regularly and exploring the habitat. Had a great stay at Grizzly! My rating is a 4.7. Only thing is I wish we booked for a longer stay. Not sure why campers think that is ok. We think the park could put up signs or send out emails to inform their guest campers that walking through other camp sites is not acceptable. Park is within walking distance of West Yellow Stone, but if elderly you might want to drive as it's not that close. They have 2 dump stations. We stayed at the beginning of the season in fact our first night was $35 since it was the off-season rate, then it went up to $65 for the rest of our stay. First of all, it's ridiculous to close bath houses during the time period when people need to use them. This property has high ratings, but this review is campsite specific. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews. My word of warning - The back in sites are only 45 feet long. Everyone we met went out of their way to make sure we found what we needed. Yes, laundry service and self serve laundry are offered to guests. However it turns out the original reservation went through I did not get a confirmation but they did bill my credit card which I didn't see until today So after making other arrangements for a different park they called me and told me that I was late and therefore they were not refunding $112 nightly fee I drove to the location and spoke, to the supervisor Terry and the manager Darren only to be told that the policy was if you don't cancel your reservation 24 hours ahead of the arrival you pay the full price. That Said, I made reservations for July of 2018 and I had to cancel because my wifes mother past away and we just couldn't make it. We slept with the windows open, but lots of light came in from nearby hotel and security lights. Our first visit, but not our last!! We were asked to disconnect our water each evening and reconnect in the morning in order to prevent freezing. Part of a nice little town right a the entrance to yellow stone. Easy to use: enter the GWDC, dail-up, follow the signs and start learning! The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. There was a sign on the bath house stating that it would be closed for cleaning from 9-10am. They had spaces to accommodate everyone. No comparison. Prices have gone up but value has gone down. more. On July 6th, 2020 as an alternative to a lethal removal, we welcomed him to the Grizzly & Wolf Discovery Center as our newest resident bear. California is home to the most national parks of any state, nine in total. The park is big rig friendly with paved, level sites. The grounds are right outside the west gate of Yellowstone and was in an easy place to get in and out of. We saw lots of people using it during our stay. Both pull through and back-in sites available. IMHO Grizzly is the only place to stay if visiting Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons. Water is excellent, and hook ups are top notch and easy. Wi-fi is available and actually works (a rarity, in our experience). The bathroom and laundry facilities were cleaned daily but the one complaint was the expensive and not very good laundry facilities after more than 30 minutes of having to restart the dryer every 5 minutes, the clothes were super damp. They rent cabins, some with a kitchenette and others without.
