We loved the charm of the Chalfonte and would highly recommend it to others! They helped us carry in items and made sure all of our guests received welcome bags. I would still give the Chalfonte a strong rating, but would suggest they review some internal organization. There is something very magical about the Chalfonte front porch and its plethora of rocking chairs. Its something that you could NEVER achieve at a Marriott or Holiday Inn or any normal hotel. Everything ran so smoothly and our guests raved about the beauty of the building, the excellent service and the amazing food. (We had to postpone our reception for a year thanks to Covid restrictions, but the process was smooth and no details were missed). 
It was my pleasure to be part of your special day. The thing I loved most about the space was the ability for guests to explore the bottom part of the hotel throughout the evening. The hour d'oeuvres were amazing, as well as the fried chicken and seared salmon. Terry worked with us when we had crazy requests such as setting up lawn games in their front yard and having an ice cream bar instead of cake. The staff set up all of our arrangements and the Magnolia Room was breath taking! As the bride you are not focused on the details at this point in the night, but The Chalfonte was. Much better than any meal that we had while dining in Cape May that entire weekend. The Chalfonte Hotel was the perfect venue for our daughter's wedding. The venue and hotel are stunning but being 150 years old it def wasnt everyones taste. process, and she made sure that every detail was perfect. one, Terry (the wedding coordinator) took on my incessant questions and worries and put my mind at ease that everything was under control. The food was fabulous and the venue was perfect for a beach wedding. She coordinated with our vendors and seamlessly arranged for the ceremony to be inside at last minute due to rain. The shrimp were huge and people were literally chasing the mushrooms and scallops because loved them so much. They made everything look so nice. As for the reception - we loved the format of the long dinning hall Again the feel was really intimate and inviting with the Victorian setting and candlelight. But this was the best service I swear every table got their food within 5 minutes and all warm. All our guest raved about the food! Our wedding weekend at The Chalfonte was beyond perfect! The rocking chairs on the porch were quaint; and sitting in them, you truly felt "southern comfort". Terry ALWAYS worked around our schedules. We had the perfect 150 person wedding this October and would not have changed a thing! Terry and the staff were so helpful for helping her hand that out and for giving us an idea of how many of our guests were staying at the hotel. The DJ was given no direction and I found him lost and confused on the front porch, where he wasnt even told where to set up for the cocktail hour ( which was both inside and out on the porch) . The venue and hotel are stunning but being 150 years old it def wasnt everyones taste. process, and she made sure that every detail was perfect. one, Terry (the wedding coordinator) took on my incessant questions and worries and put my mind at ease that everything was under control. The food was fabulous and the venue was perfect for a beach wedding. She coordinated with our vendors and seamlessly arranged for the ceremony to be inside at last minute due to rain. The shrimp were huge and people were literally chasing the mushrooms and scallops because loved them so much. They made everything look so nice. The rooms are so comfortable and the second floor porch access was an unexpected yet amazing bonus! Thank you for your generous words and for holding your wedding at the Chalfonte.
As for the reception - we loved the format of the long dinning hall Again the feel was really intimate and inviting with the Victorian setting and candlelight. But this was the best service I swear every table got their food within 5 minutes and all warm. All our guest raved about the food! Our wedding weekend at The Chalfonte was beyond perfect! The rocking chairs on the porch were quaint; and sitting in them, you truly felt "southern comfort". Terry ALWAYS worked around our schedules. We had the perfect 150 person wedding this October and would not have changed a thing! Terry and the staff were so helpful for helping her hand that out and for giving us an idea of how many of our guests were staying at the hotel. The DJ was given no direction and I found him lost and confused on the front porch, where he wasnt even told where to set up for the cocktail hour ( which was both inside and out on the porch) . If there was ever an example of a Fairy Tale Wedding, it was ours. They made sure to make special appetizer plates for us because they knew we'd be socializing and hungry, they made our plates for us at the buffet and made sure we always had a full drink!

I was married on September 28th at the Chalfonte Hotel and had the most wonderful experience from start to finish. We so enjoyed sharing our charming hotel and hospitality with your family and friends both Italian and American.
