My vote would be for the Rustoleum. This paint and primer in 1 is designed to be durable and protect against rust, abrasion, fading, chipping and dulling. HI Anika, Thank you for solving this problem for us! I agree with Ellis and Abby about the green undertones in the Design Master (at least on my screen). For instance theres one called 24K Gold. You could also try an extra primer! I loved the color of design masters, but am finding that both the chair and ceramic I painted are rubbing off. Which gold is the Valspar they have gold and rose gold? For, applications where I need authentic gold, I would definitely go for the Design Masters or Rustoleum Metallic. Thanks for posting this. The brassiest gold was definitely the Design Master and Rustoleum as a close second. I need one that will look mirror like on a flat surface. This is awesome! These three have a distinct rose tint. What an awesome experiment! In fact, the rose gold spray paints I have seen all look a little too coppery for me. It takes like 5 fine coats of paint (or more), whereas Rustoleum takes 2, in my experience, and is less prone to dripping. This was done many many years ago when there was only one or two.

Also if the hardware is shiny then you can lightly sand the handles so it will adhere, I personally did not do this on the hardware just because it took the spray paint right away.
