Some of the needles go by more than one name but are the same type of needle. Im having trouble checking out. They have just a wee bit of bend Easy to thread, very sharp, sturdy and just the right length they worked beautifully for both double-fold and single-fold binding. 
Seems I saw them there. If that wasnt tricky enough to remember, a Size 5 of one type of needle doesnt correspond to a Size 5 in another (so a Size 5 Sharp isnt the same size as a Size 5 Quilting). 
It is great for appliqu because it is thin enough to glide through the fabric smoothly, has a sharp point and doesnt bend as easily as a milliner. Until recently I have stuck all of my needles in one pincushion and used them until they broke or bent so badly I had to throw them away. I just got my binding needles they are perfect! This is a needle with many uses. Before I dive into which three I have in my hand sewing toolbox, lets look at the qualities of a needle that make it better for some tasks rather than others. I will definately buy some to try out! There are dozens of different types of needles out there, hundreds when you take into account different sizes within the types! Only thing is I find that once I find a needle I love I end up using it for everything under the sun. I love how they glide through the fabric, but the eyes are small and can be tricky to thread.
So, what needles do you absolutely need to have in your hand quilting toolkit? The name of the needle game is to reduce friction at every step, including the threading of the needle: dont try to force a floss through the tiny eye of the quilting needle!

Some have fancy names, hinting at their original use (my personal favorite is Milliners), and some have names that are unhelpfully utilitarian (Im looking at you, Sharps). They come in a bunch of different sizes: the lower sizes (2-4) are better for medium/heavy fabrics, the mid range (5-10) are for light/medium fabrics, and the top numbers are best for fine fabrics.
It makes threading oval eye needles quick and easy. It comes down to four defining characteristics: point, eye, length, and diameter. And if you have five minutes, I would HIGHLY recommend watching this video about how needles are made (did you know that they are made two at a time?!?! I didnt!). Can be hard to find.
If you are using finer/thinner fabric you would select a finer/smaller needle. I still use my John James MADE IN ENGLAND Sharps needles no, not the newer ones which are not made in England. Ideally, what you want is a needle that feels comfortable, glides through the fabric, has an eye that you can thread, doesnt bend and is the right size for the fabric you are sewing.
I love using your chenille needles for wool. Straw needlesor were those for appliqu??? I have a king size quilt to be bound as soon as I get it from the quilters.

And, packing isnt consistent in labeling: a package of 10 Sharps 5/10 means that youre definitely getting 10 needles, but it could be a mix of five Size 5 and five Size 10 OR it could mean an assortment of needles ranging from Size 5 to 10. These are similar to Sharps but are a longer needle. These binding needles sound ideal. Sharp/Appliqu If youre looking to have some fun playing with thread weights (such as 12wt thread or floss), Id suggest picking up a needle with a larger eye to accommodate the heavier thread. Shop hand sewing needles at Connecting Thre. Remember that any struggle to pull the thread through the eye of the needle will damage the thread (it may also drive you bananas). The rule of thumb is that as the numerical size of the needle increases, the length and diameter get smaller. Perhaps its just a marketing gimmick (of course, theyre slightly more expensive), but I do find them reliably easier to thread (and easier to find when Ive dropped one). They are also long.
