The ring looked nothing as advertised. I have never ever left a bad review in all my 38 years but this place take the P***!!! Like everyone else I got the same lies on phone calls to Ireland from Canada. We spotted a 4Runner and decided we would like one. I subsequently filed a report with my bank as the item was never received, and in addition, filed complaints with Federal Authorities related to wire fraud. I can see by searching Glencara I am not the only one being ripped off.
I ordered two pendants with chains on July 7 with assurances that shipping would be 3-5 days. Report them to all local authorities in their area and your bank will trace where your money went to and youll receive help and justice these are federal charges that glencara is looking up! Company will take your order, charge your account and will not provide order confirmation or shipping info. I have tried to trace it with USPS but they tell me it was not insured so they are unable to trace this. This is a company that has lived up to its shoddy reputation. I want what i paid for ! I was very pleased and happy when it arrived just a few days ago - a perfect fit. The black rodium was actually grey and the finish product was so poor that to gift this to someone would be an embarrassment. It should be noted that if you research them, people have been getting this email for well over a year. I was sent a shipping notification which had no tracking information. This wasnt even Glencaras fault, and it was the postage people. On the 4th day I still hadnt received an email to say it was being delivered, I had just received an email saying confirmation of purchase.
I purchased and paid for a ring on Dec 2nd and was promised by Maria I would receive it before Christmas. Ordered goods from the websyite and after long delay i recieved some of them, i decided to return some items under the return policy and they refused to return my money, cannot be contacted by phone and only after the intervention of credit card company did they return my funds, these people are frauds and chancers. I understand shipping and quality issues, but the number of times I was forced to reach out for updates (instead of them just being provided) and the amount of time it takes them to respond (longer than the 24 hours their site promised) just makes them not worth buying from. The size was wrong, so I sent the ring back and they sent another one, the same size as the first. I also received an email saying my order had been shipped and then received an email stating the ring I ordered was out of stock and will be shipped at a later date. I am obviously starting to worry as all of their reviews are negative, its a Christmas present so I need it soon, I just want some tracking details and they wont come back to me. As the 3-7 day time period passed, I contacted GLENCARA vis the customer service number provided,1 866-567-7451 at which point the call was answered by a male with a heavy Irish accent advising they were backed-up in responding to emails and that customers shopuld leave an email prefaced with URGENT advising of their complaint. I ordered the ring last Thursday, December 12th and received an email to say it was shipped at 6.30am on Friday morning, the email advised that I would receive the ring either Saturday or Monday to which I havent received, I called their number and emailed numerous times and have heard nothing back. I have sent them 2 separate messages asking were my order is and still have received no word back from them. Glencara has deceived, lied and now just out right stolen money out of my bank account and refund to deliver the merchandise I have verified all listed addresses with the help of a tech specialist I regret and warn all potential customers this company is a scam! On purpose I left a open but idle bank account with less than $800 that was supposed to be for my kids if they needed it. Im contacting my bank and PayPal for a dispute settlement. Every now and them someone will manage to get a true review in, which is mostly negative. Looking at the rest of the reviews I would never order off this company again. the ring I ordered is beautiful and as depicted. I am going to attempt to get my money back from Paypal but its been too long. I have now rang many times only to get the same automated message, that they cannot take the call as it is outside their business hours of 8am to 4pm. I was then given three additional guaranteed dates for delivery and finally due to poor customer service, mismanagement and inefficiency l got the ring 28 days later and even then l had to go and collect it myself as l did not trust them to deliver it. I love the jewellery, what I ordered was perfect, got here on time as I needed for a birthday gift, cannot fault the jewellery or the service, delivery took 8-10 days which was bit longer than expected but loved the rings perfect so pretty would order from again. Every time I have rang it has been within this time. I waited an extra week, sent Glencara an email. Its almost New Years and Im out $300 from this ring and it ruined Christmas. Thank you. It was individually handcrafted by a Silversmith in Ireland. Then Glencara claims that they never got their items back so they dont have to return payments. I sent an email asking for more details. My mother was looking for a specific pair of earrings. I failed to check reviews on these folks so its my own fault.
None of this fills me with any confidence. Its been a week and still no email info about it being shipped. Silver, gold, Claddaghs. I'll be sure to look them up in future.
I followed this up immediately with another Urgent email expecting another automated response but strangely have now heard nothing for several days. None of my emails were ever answered. i have received it yet. They wanted me to send it back without insurance to save on shipping costs. The items arrived long after Christmas. I received notification that the item would ship within 24 hrs of my order further advising the item should be received within 3-7 work days. I was charged for my order, as well as an additional few hundred (totally different from my order total) which I had to follow-up to get refunded. I should of been guaranteed to have it in lots of time with there delivery time frame. Promised . I hope to purchase more items in the future. I ended up wisely letting my credit card company about the shady dealing. They charged my credit card. I, We went Hoy Fox Toyota to look for a new vehicle for the family.
