I am planning on using screw-type hose clamps (pic of a small setup below), but I am concerned of collapsing the nylon fuel line as I tighten the clamp. I'm thinking rubber to the fuel pump, then brake line along the body to the passenger fender area then a braided flexible brake line (have to make sure it's fuel rated) from the fender to the fuel injection. Probably the nylon is the best of both worlds, but they can be hard to work with when you have a problem. Is this the proper way to connect these two lines or am I going about it the wrong way using the incorrect materials? Need to find a schematic on the site showing which wires I need to splice to make the rear sending unit operable all the time.

Can I avoid the nylon line all together and just run a long length of hose from the tank to the pump. I then run rubber hose up under the cowling, over/behind the motor, and to the carb.
