I also use a $1,600+ heater on the pool as well (sits in the shade most of the day). Set it up the 3rd year, and, had more leaks here and there.
I figured I'd get quite a few years out of it before I had any issues ( I was wrong!). But, still leaks (ground was wet in spots). I even take it down each Fall/clean it out/dry it, and store in my shed. I'm an Intex customer for life. Intex was contacted immediately, they filed a warranty claim.
