Why? The smart image adjustment is out of this world. The Epson Powerlite 1781W is more than half the size and weight than my other projectors. We have issues with the connection cables, which makes the picture go out constantly. The projector is light and flexible. I've also written a host of articles about astronomy, space science, travel photography, and astrophotography for PCMag and its past and present sibling publications (among them, Mashable and ExtremeTech), as well as for the PCMag Digital Edition. To be fair, I will say that the sound quality isnt up to par with the excellence of the machine overall, so, if you are going to be doing a media rich presentation where you will be using lots of video elements with sound, bring some extra speakers, thats what I did, didnt mind, had some portable Sony speakers already. Never had a problem.
It's display is sharp and bright. Oversized orders that require delivery by truck do not qualify. VGA, HDMI worked as expected.
I was amazed at the clarity from both Blu-ray and satellite on my screen which is 16 feet high and 24 feet wide. You can setup on the right or left side of your conference room and it will adjust the image for you and it will look like the projection is coming from straight forward. The fan is somewhat noisy as is common with all similar projectors. This is my first projector and I cannot be more impressed. And it is hands down the best projector I have worked with.
