You can use any brand of clear spray sealant. Each can had minor issues with clogging, which were easily resolved by holding the can upside down and spraying for a few seconds to clear the clog as instructed on the can. I should count myself lucky at least it didnt get stuck, spraying all over the place like others have reported. just been look up reviews on krylon and not good so far ipainted some rocks with my baby girl and wanted to seal them to last forever WELL they lasted about 3 seconds they got all white gluie looking and i did what it said on the can and then it made the paint run which had been dry for over a week so so sad anybody else have this problem AND i only used one fast light spray. I like to spray it very dry. First can sprayed okay folor the few minutes I used it, but when I tried to clear the nozzle it got stuck and kept sputtering. I bought first can today, followed directions EXACTLY, and was stuck after 6 sprays with a sputtering can. I thought Krylon was a name with some credibility and rather a long history of experience with spray paint. This product should be sold in cans half the size. I called Krylon and they were very casual about the whole thing. The smell is really bad, too. Read the can, turn it upside down and spray to clear the nozzle, and you should be able to get good results with this product. I almost just paid $60 for this stuff for a float we are constructing. Im disappointed that Krylon let this product go to market. A uniquely intense, sparkling glitter finish so its easy to get an irresistible look on almost any surface. I think that taking breaks to clear the nozzle every so often might help prevent it from clogging. I had the same stinking thing happen to me yesterday with the orange glitter blast!

Just keep in mind that Glitter Blast is actually glitter suspended in a clear base, not normal spray paint, and it does not behave exactly like normal spray paint. I went back to the 2-step process of a base metallic coat and then coat of Glitter Spray. I got 3 1/2 pine cones done before the can was unusable. Honestly, youd be better off with a can of spray glue that doesnt set too fast, and a whole bunch off actual glitter. Im still not able to finish the project and its not a very big project! All the others stopped working and started spraying clear liquid and wouldnt stop. Next season of crafting we purchased 2 cans, followed instructions and both cans made a mess and wouldnt stop spraying. I finally just purchased spray adhesive and glitter dust to do my project. I bought the gold glitter blast, i shook it for atleast 2 minutes and nothing came out but propellent! But it is a total waste of money as it is.. Im working on a new video comparing old & new cans. Recently (I bought the green, silver and most recently the twilight sky I bought two cans on sale and ask the lady at the craft shop why they were on sale and if someone had brought them back as the lid had clear packing tape around them. I really wish it was just an in-line nozzle design with the only purpose of the nozzle being to mist the spray, rather than trying to make it all bend around 90 degrees (where the glitter can pool up) and giving it direction, with a complex mating design to prevent the nozzle from falling off while still being possible to remove because they know itll clog.
However, I dont feel 100% better, knowing I wasted $9 on a can of would-be beautiful light-blue Glitter Blast that is now outside hissing at me. I gave up and just left it outdoors in the cardboard box to fizzle and die. This happend to me also! FIX THIS KRYLON! I just kept thinking how could I screw up pressing a nozzle down?! This fixed the problem, but it sprays so fast I had to work quickly. This is an old entry, but still going strong, so why not: Rustoleum Gold Glitter paint clogtastic and the nozzle doesnt mate correctly with the cans valve so even if you manage to unclog the nozzle, you might be pressing down on it and nothing happens. No more Krylon products for me. I sprayed several thin coats to avoid runs ad cover my primer coat completely. Happened to me twice with the sparkling waters spray. The first two squirts were finethen it just fizzed and this clear stuff came out and wouldnt stop. At least my watch always says glitter oclock, which is nice. Light coats- wait for them to dry and repeat until youve gotten the coverage you desire. So I put it upside down in an empty plastic flower container and left it outside. Same thing start to spew and coming out around the cap, took cap off and was spewing all over me and would not stop. This product is so crappy, makes we wonder about their other products. I bet if you contact Krylon theyll send you a replacement. She told me no, just out of season.
